October 27th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

Brethren… What’s your Saturday morning looking like? Hope you can meet us!

Offenses Will Come
Inevitably, we will experience offenses by other people. Jesus said so Himself in Luke 17:1, “Then said he unto the disciples, ‘It is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!'” By the term offenses, Jesus was referring to opportunities to stumble! When put in the proper perspective, Jesus was teaching that there will be moments when others will do or say things that will challenge our response. We can either respond gracefully or in ways that provoke sin.

As believers, God places a premium on how we handle people. It is often said, “Why are Christians supposed to be so forgiving and turn the other cheek?” as if nothing happens to the other person. Looking at Luke 17:1 the “woe” is assigned to the offender! Additionally, as Christians, we are expected to show Christ in how we conduct ourselves. So, how do we Christians handle offense?

Join us as Minister Jimi Emmons sheds light on this month’s theme, “Dealing with Offenses”. Our gathering is sure to be an amazing journey through scripture as the topic of offenses is unpacked!

Meet you there!

September 2018 Fellowship Meeting

Principles of Leadership:

Leaders understand the value of solitude.

Leaders spend lots of time alone.

Leaders understand that times of quiet are vital in life.

In the quiet we receive a clear vision from God.

We will never have the vision and the power amidst the noise and clatter of this world … we must get alone w/ God!

A leader sees more in the night than others see in the light.

Leaders understand the importance of solitude.

Leaders patiently gather all the facts.

Leaders don’t rush into a project ill prepared.

Before you can lead you have to learn. Leaders make a mess of things when they try to lead w/out doing their homework.

Nobody seems to have the time to do it right, but everybody finds the time to do it over. “Measure twice, cut once!”

Leaders keep their eye on the big picture.

Micromanagers and control freaks wear out and break down quickly!

Leaders carefully choose their words.

August 2018 Fellowship Meeting

The cry of people today is, “Show me how to live my life.” Give me meaning and understanding in this crazy world in which I live.” Godly Biblical preaching has to do with communicating the Word of God as truth, understood and applied. That will convict the sin-sick soul of his need for God. It will instruct the believer in the ways of righteousness. And it will never return to the Lord void!

July 28, 2018

Many times we Christians freely declare that we choose Christ; that we are Jesus followers. This is truly a great confession of one’s faith! Beyond “choosing” Christ, we must also PROJECT Christ! Projecting Christ is more than just attending service at church on Sunday morning, it is a daily lifestyle.

Matthew 28:19 instructs us to go and make disciples of the nations. This literally means raise up people to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as taught in the Gospels.

Do others around us SEE Christ in us? Do they HEAR Christ from us? Do they FEEl Christ Through us?

How do you PROJECT Christ? Join Men of Faith Network on July 28th 2018 at 10:00am at Trinity College in Palos Heights in the Heritage Science Center Room 014.

June 30th 2018

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2).

Good medical care is priceless—but wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t need doctors anymore? Well, did you know there is a proven way to put a lot of doctors out of work? … Take care of your body! Scientists have sounded the alarm about cholesterol, tobacco, stress, obesity, and alcohol, so why press your luck? God truly cares how you treat your body, and He’s given you a free health plan to go by—the Bible!

March 24th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

In Romans 15:2 (MSG), Paul admonishes his readers that “strength is for service, not status.” Without question…strong words that are so very much needed today!!
As we pursue excellence in servant leadership, we realize that models, methodologies and strategies in and of themselves fall woefully short if we are not walking in godly integrity, Christlike character, transparency & authenticity wrapped in humility.
So what does this really look like? How do we exemplify it before a watching world, before those that we serve in ministry and more importantly, at home before our families?
To help us embrace the topic of “The Heart Of A True Leader”, the Men of Faith Network is delighted to have Dr. Jeff Hubing and the Men of Faith Network President, Fredrick K Ezeji-Okoye as they share what God has downloaded into their hearts. Mark your calendar & join us. Yes, there is a word from the Lord!!!

April 28th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

Will Rogers was attributed to have said that “even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” This was the essence of God’s conversation with Adam when He posed the question, “Adam, where are you?”. Not an issue of his physical proximity, God was inquiring about the posture of Adam’s heart. So it is with us!!
As we look to build upon the incredible ministry of our March Monthly Fellowship, the Men of Faith Network keep the momentum going as we are so honored to have Pastor John Hannah in the house as he addresses the very relevant issue of being “On Track” in our relationship with God.

March 24th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

One fellowship you don’t want to miss!

** Ignite the Fire, Sustain the Fire, Use the Fire
Passion: strong and barely controllable emotion.

What are you passionate about? What drives the things you do? Each of us is moved by desires, inspiration, and necessity. But what about the fire of God in us? How much of what we do is motivated by the plans and will of God? Our passion actually has power to fuel our works!

Join us March 24th to hear with Minister Rick Landry and Pastor Otis Burns will share with us. Monthly gatherings at MOFN are a great use of your time.

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” ~Bishop T.D. Jakes

See you Saturday, March 24th!

February 17th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

Sustaining The Flame

“But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and   in your love for us—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”   2 Corinthians 8:7

We invite you to join our monthly meeting, the theme is Sustaining the Flame.

We have been called by God the Father to take part in the mission of advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ worldwide by providing equipping in cooperating with the Holy Spirit.

According to Jesus, who is calling us to join Him in this work, being filled with the Holy Spirit is the essential condition for us to effectively take part as friends and co-workers with God in building the Kingdom of God.

January 27th 2018 Fellowship Meeting

Your faith is not for you alone; it’s meant to be shared with others.  But if you don’t have a fire in your soul that burns with passion for God’s purposes, you’ll lack the power to proclaim the Gospel as He calls you to do.

Has your faith dwindled down to the embers of complacency or apathy when you encounter lost people?  If so, it’s time to ignite a fresh fire in your soul.  Here’s how:

Expect God to use your ordinary life in extraordinary ways.  Realize that you don’t need to depend on your own limited strength to reach lost people for Christ.  All God asks is that you open yourself up to receive His Holy Spirit and follow where He leads you.  When you do, the Spirit will empower you to share your faith in ways that will draw people to Christ.  Rest assured that God will use your efforts to share the Gospel despite your own faults.  You’ll become a powerful force once the Holy Spirit burns inside your soul.
