The Bible describes repentance as a profound realization of our sins and the resulting sorrow that leads us to change our thoughts and actions. The Apostle Paul frames it this way: “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death” (2 Corinthians 7:10).
A “correct” understanding of repentance is absolutely fundamental to biblical Christianity. But what does it really mean to “repent”? Repentance implies a posture of our heart where we are completely honest with ourselves AND with GOD. The fact that the GOD of the universe has made a way whereby we can enter into His presence to acknowledge our true motives and then provide an avenue of mercy to turn from our past course of sinful action…is beyond words.

Incredibly so, this was the Apostle Paul’s warning to the first century church in Rome. So over 2000 years later, the urgency has only intensified.
So let me ask you…where do you think we stand as a culture, as a Church and you as an individual Christian? And why? Only the Word of God provides the answers and the hope that we so desperately need in this hour. Revival, by definition, means to restore life or consciousness; to give new energy or strength to. For those of us who have been laboring and sowing in ministry all year long, this month’s gathering is for US!
